CHURCH, SCHOOLS, DONATIONS & SCHOLARSHIPS

Built A Church

Chief Adeola Odutola built a church in Ijebu-Ode for the Anglican Communion, which was named the Adeola Odutola Anglican Church in his honor.

Built Schools

In 1945, he established a secondary school named Olu-Iwa College, after the first Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Olu-Iwa. He later built a primary school, Adeola Odutola Primary School, and subsequently renamed the secondary school Adeola Odutola College.
Notable alumni from the 1940s to 1960s include Oba Sikiru Adetona, the current Awujale of Ijebu-Ode, and Chief Bayo Kuku, who succeeded Chief Odutola as the Ogbeni Oja of Ijebu-Ode.

Made Donations

Chief Odutola donated millions of Naira to various institutions of higher learning, including the University of Ibadan, University of Lagos, and Olabisi Onabanjo University. He also contributed significantly to the construction of the Awujale Palace.

Awarded Scholarships

Over several years, Chief Odutola awarded scholarships to many Nigerians, funding their education from primary school through to university level.
